1. Open Google Maps on your device.
2. In the search bar, type "Valletta Waterfront" as your starting point.
Search for Barrakka Lift. A small fee is charged to use the lift.
The lift will take you up to the Upper Barrakka Gardens.
From Upper Barrakka Gardens, search for, Merchants Street as the next part of your journey. Continue walking along Merchants Street past the restaurants and turn left onto, Triq San Gwann.
Here you will find the Valletta train next to, St. John's Co-Cathediral. Check our signs for the next departure.
Enjoy your train tour.
1. **Exit the Terminal**: Once you disembark at the Valletta Waterfront (where the cruise terminal is located), exit the terminal area. You'll find yourself on the waterfront road called "Pinto Wharf."
2. **Walk Along the Waterfront**: Turn right and walk along the Valletta Waterfront, heading towards the city. You'll pass various shops and restaurants along the way.
3. **Reach the Lift to Upper Barrakka Gardens**: Continue walking until you see a large lift, known as the Barrakka Lift, which is a convenient way to reach the city centre. The lift will take you directly to the Upper Barrakka Gardens. The lift ride is quick and inexpensive (around €1, free for cruise passengers on the way up).
4. **Exit the Lift at Upper Barrakka Gardens**: Once you reach the top, exit the lift and find yourself in the Upper Barrakka Gardens. From here, you'll have a great view of the Grand Harbour.
5. **Walk to Castille Square**: From the gardens, exit onto Castille Place. Continue straight past the Auberge de Castille, the office of the Prime Minister of Malta.
6. **Proccd to Merchants Street** Walk straight down, the main street past the first set of restaurants with the tents.
7. ** Continue walking along Merchants Street past the restaurants and turn left onto, Triq San Gwann. Here you will find the Valletta train next to, St. John's Co-Cathediral. Check our signs for the next departure.
